What times should we look out for Santa?

Hi! Anyway to know if they come to your neighborhood?

The Towamencin Fire Company is mourning the loss of Walter West, a 58 year, life member of our company. Walt’s commitment, was most notable in his role as the chairman of the fire company’s Home Run Derby in cooperation with the Philadelphia Phillies for over 50 years. Walt encouraged the collective involvement of his family—his late wife Joanne, daughter Amy, and sons Steve and Scott—in supporting our fire company through their respective memberships. He also served as a director in our Board of Directors.

Walt's 2015 pre game recognition and awards from the Philadelphia Phillies were a remarkable acknowledgment of his 45 years of dedicated service to the Home Run Derby. His impact extended beyond Towamencin Township, showcasing his commitment to organizing events also for the TYA Baseball League.
It's especially noteworthy that his contributions reached beyond the fire company, through his position as a corporal with Lower Gwynedd Township Police. Both of our communities are fortunate to have received the breadth of Walt's positive influence in both the local neighborhoods and the wider region. He proudly attended the FBI National Academy, an invitation only, select training experience for police officials worldwide.

Walt's passion for the fire company's history is truly commendable. His dedication to helping organize a detailed review of the fire company's history in his senior years reflects a deep commitment to preserving our legacy. It's a testament to his love for the fire company and the importance he placed on ensuring the stories and achievements made are remembered and appreciated.

Walt was a dedicated life long public servant. Our sympathy and condolences to the entire West Family. Arrangements are pending, we will share when they are available.
