Clair W “Butch” Clemens
The Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company sadly announces the death of former Fire Chief Clair W “Butch” Clemens earlier today. Chief Clemens joined the company in 1952 and served as our Fire Chief from 1958 through 1990. Chief Clemens continued on our Board of Directors and in many other capacities throughout his lifetime of membership. Chief Clemens was just as influential in our community, his church and in the family business, Hatfield Quality Meats, now known as the Clemens Food Group.
We are indebted to the Chief and his family for the years of service, mentoring, commitment and support in all of our efforts. We will miss his friendship, leadership and mostly, his presence among us.
We share our condolences and sympathies with the entire Clemens family.
Matthew 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
